Demonstration software

FORCAST demonstration software is currently available upon request. FORCAST software allows you to produce actuarial reports to meet ASOP No. 3 conditions and project GAAP financials, amortize entry fees and estimate the obligation to provide future services in accordance with AICPA Audit Guide for Health Care Organizations Chapter 14 (formerly known as SOP 90-8), and record resident demographics and movement data between regular updates to your actuarial study. FINAID demonstration software can be downloaded from the section below. The FINAID software allows you to evaluate the future financial needs of prospective residents.

In order for you to evaluate the capabilities and features of our software, the demonstration software is identical to the working versions except that the write-to-file capability has been disabled so that file changes cannot be saved.

We suggest that you contact an A.V. POWELL & ASSOCIATES consultant to guide you through FORCAST or FINAID before installing either software on your Windows® based PC. Current FORCAST users will not be able to install the FORCAST demo, but may obtain the latest release, by going to the Software update section below.

Description of software lease/license options

FORCAST is available only as an annually renewable lease following the completion of a comprehensive actuarial study.
The FORCAST entry fee amortization module can be purchased for a one-time license fee.
The FORCAST resident database module is available at no cost to any organization by clicking on the preceding link and downloading the 20 megabyte installation file. To install the software, run the file named FORCASTdatabase_setup.exe and view the sample document Resident Demographic Data form and instructions for more information and quick start help. This module is a universal standard for collecting and analyzing retirement community resident demographic data and utilization patterns.
FINAID can be purchased for a one-time license fee.

Software updates

FORCAST is updated regularly. The current version 6.11.0250 updates any prior version from 6.11.0000 through 6.11.0199. To obtain the update, FORCAST clients should click on the upgrade link below to download immediately. To apply the update, you will need FORCAST already installed on your PC. FORCAST lease clients who wish to add the software to a new PC (and don't have their initial FORCAST installation CD) should email Anna Isselhardt for a full installation CD.
